The war ends with the Treaty of Kumanovo, with Yugoslav and Serbian forces agreeing to withdraw from Kosovo to make way for an international presence. The KLA was disbanded shortly afterwards, some members joined the Liberation Army of Presevo, Medveđa and Bujanovac while others joined the National Liberation Army to join the armed conflict that contained Macedonia. The Yugoslav army caused the displacement of more than one million refugees, Kosovo proclaimed its independence from Serbia on 17 February 2008.
As a conclusion, it should be recalled that a document from 1455 in the Turkish archives in Istanbul mentions an ethnic census of the families of Kosovo in order to establish a policy of governance, 46 were Albanians and 13,000 Serbs. The Turkish census also affects the north of present-day Albania, which is also populated by a very large majority of Serbian families, since out of 89 villages, 3 have an Albanian majority and 86 have a Serbian majority.
It is only a short step to say that Kosovo is Serbian.
